Terms and Conditions 

• Insurance:

The inclusive Fully Comprehensive insurance covers ‘The Insured’ only who must be 30-65 years old. Charge for any other additional driver starts at £29 per day, subject to our insurer’s approval.

• Age & Licence Restrictions:

Prices are based on drivers being aged 30 to 65 years of age. However, additional insurance can be arranged for drivers aged 25 to 30. All drivers must have held a full licence for a minimum of two years, must have no more than 6 points current speeding points on their licence and are subject to approval on completion of an insurance proposal form. Please note that it is a criminal offence for any unauthorised drivers to drive our vehicles. Anyone with drink and drug convictions over the previous 5 years will not be accepted. Any other convictions will be subject to our insurers approval. Overseas licenses are accepted subject to the above conditions.

• Bookings and Cancellation:

We require a Booking Fee of 15% of the total booking fee, non refundable upon cancellation. Cancellations more than 60 days prior to hire date – 50% refund of hire charge, subject to a minimum charge of £100. Cancellations 59 – 22 days prior to hire date – 25% refund of hire charge, subject to a minimum charge of £100. Cancellations within 21 days – no refund due.

• Gift Vouchers:

Valid for 12 months and cannot be redeemed for monetary value, refunded or transferred to another party.

• Excess & Security Deposit:

(A) As a security bond. (B) As payments towards any mechanical damage which is not covered by our insurers, eg tyres, wheels, clutch, gearbox and which was sustained during the hire period, excluding normal wear and tear, due to misuse and abuse. (C) As an insurance excess against any accidental damage or loss caused to the vehicle by a third party or the hirer. The hirer is liable for the amount shown as Excess Deposit. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is available to reduce this. Please see below. (D) Additional charges incurred during hire for excess mileage and, or, petrol reimbursement charges. The Excess Security Deposit is as per the tariff

• ID:

Driving licence and counter part section need to be provided to Hire Luxury before the hire can commence for all named drivers, also Photo Id in the form of a Passport and a utility bill or credit card statement must also be produced as confirmation of ID, these can be sent by registered mail to our offices, they will be photo copied and returned by registered mail, photocopies are acceptable BUT the originals must be produced on the day of hire, failure to do so would cancel the hire. If upon delivery these documents have not been received or viewed by Hire Luxury the hire will be cancelled and our cancellation policy will apply.

• Liability:

Liability is limited to a refund of the hire charge. No consequential loss liability will be covered.

• Use of Vehicle:

The hirer may use the vehicle for the purpose of their business and for social domestic and pleasure purposes. The vehicles may not be used for any purposes for which they are not expressly designed. Further, the hirer will not use or permit the vehicles to be used for hire, driving tuition, towing, racing or pace-making, or for competing in any rally, or any other form of motor sport, track days, or for any illegal purpose whatsoever.

• Petrol:

You will need to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as noted on your collection. If, however, this is not the case any reimbursement for petrol will be charged at the pump price, plus a surcharge of £45 for labour.

• Overseas Travel:

Please note most of our cars may be taken out of the UK. Ireland (Eire) is not part of the UK. Prior notification is required so that overseas insurance and AA cover can be arranged. There will be an additional charge for this, and the Excess Deposit will be doubled.

• Hours of Hire:

Standard Weekend hire covers 72 hours, from Friday to Monday. 1 day mid week covers from 9am to 9am the following day. 3 day midweek hire covers from 9am Tuesday to 9 am Friday.

• Mileage Allowance:

The mileage allowance is 100 miles per day. Excess mileage is as per the current Tariff

• Delivery:

Delivery can be arranged throughout the UK, at an additional nominal charge. Please see our Collection and Delivery map for the tariff.

• Availability:

All cars are offered subject to availability, if for any reason the car is unavailable or unroadworthy, then our liability is limited in all circumstances to a full refund of the amount that has been prepaid. Hire Luxury have the right to change the exact vehicle specification and colour if necessary and you will be informed of this as early as possible prior to the hire. Hire Luxury have the right to cancel a booking if the weather conditions are deemed too severe.
